Michi might be the most organised person in the team — but don’t let that fool you into thinking she stays behind the desk. With over 1400 dives since she started in 1998, Michi is an experienced instructor with a serious passion for technical diving.

She’s a key part of our Extended Range team, confidently teaching everything from Foundations to Extended Range Trimix. Her calm, focused approach is ideal for students entering the world of tech diving, especially those who might feel a little overwhelmed by all the gear and new procedures.

As one of the few female tech instructors on the island, Michi is a good mentor for other women in the sport. She’s full of tips and tricks for small-bodied divers — especially when it comes to fine-tuning gear configuration. As a petite diver with tiny feet, she understands the challenges that come with standard setups and always finds smart solutions to make diving more comfortable and efficient.

And when she’s not teaching or fine-tuning gear, Michi has a great eye behind the lens — capturing stunning underwater shots that show off the beauty of tec diving.

Outside the water, Michi is our equipment service tech, public relations lead, and keeps Daivoon running like a well-lubed regulator. And yes, her legendary cakes still make her the most loved person in the dive center — even among the tech crowd.

Michi isn’t just guiding dives and teaching — she’s building confident, capable divers who feel at home in the water.

Half German, half Irish, and 100% Daivooner, Liam is the youngest member of the team — but don’t let that fool you. He’s been part of the Daivoon crew since the age of 11, when he caught the diving bug during a try dive with Goetz. Since then, diving hasn’t just been a passion — it’s become his life.

Today, Liam is a full-on Extended Range Instructor with a sarcastic sense of humour, an obsession with gear setups, and a drive to help divers not just pass courses — but truly understand what they’re doing underwater. Whether he’s teaching XR Foundations, Extended Range Trimix, or DPV diving, he always adds that “little extra” to push his students toward independence, confidence, and solid dive skills.

He loves to teach in a Twinset, but is also a really good XR Sidemount instructor — if you ask him nicely.

When he’s not in the water, he’s either reworking the center’s systems, testing new gear configs, or passionately arguing about the “right” way to dive (spoiler: there is none, but he still loves the debate).

Liam isn’t just teaching dives — he’s shaping divers.
